Algorithm Based Encryption

The primary purpose of a mils electronic cipher system is to be an unbreakable One Time Key system, which is based on a true random noise source. Additionally, several cryptographic algorithms are available as an alternative to the One Time Key encryption. mils electronic offers both stream cipher and block cipher methods for encrypting files and messages. Stream ciphers operate on streams of plaintext bits, one bit at a time; block ciphers operate on large blocks of plaintext data.

Our available message encryption algorithms are:

  • MCA21 Stream Cipher Algorithm (4.7 x 101425 pre-settings, cycle length of 1.7 x 1038 to 1.3 x 1083)
  • MBC Block Cipher Algorithm (Message key: 256 bits - unique for each message, 3.94 x 10115 pre-settings)
  • AES Advanced Encryption System - 256 Bit

To guarantee the integrity of each message, another algorithm - the MAS algorithm is employed. It is further responsible for the authentication of cryptographic keys and other important data. On unprotected media (e.g. hard disk) the MAS is used to make sure that an outsider has not tampered with the information.
Algorithm Based Encryption is concluded with the DPS (Data Protection System) algorithm. This strong stream cipher algorithm was developed especially for the protection of keys in unprotected environments. Especially One Time Keys benefit from this perfect protection and are therefore secure during their storage and distribution.
